I’m travelling on the hallelujah line

O, I’m travelling on the Hallelujah line

On the good old Gospel train (choo choo)

I’m on the right track

And never will go back

To the station of sin again

I need no fare

I’m riding on a Pass

‘Tis the blood for sinners slain

O, I’m travelling on the Hallelujah line

On the good old Gospel train (choo choo)

[make a line  of children to play a train]

  1. Aulbert West says:

I think the first two lines are backwards. I seem to remember singing [sort of] I’m a traveling on the good old gospel train on the hallelujah line. Choo Choo

It was at Forest Avenue Christian Church [now deceased], Gap Creek Christian Church and Johnson Bible College [now secular for all practical purposes, aka Johnson Universty] in and near Knoxville, Tennessee.
